Disney Studios film extracts from 1949 and 2000

Shortly before World War II, Walt Disney launched into the ambitious project of blending cartoon and classical music. With Fantasia he gave a very positive im-age of what happens in concert halls and of the people who make music, building a bridge between the arts and so to speak creating a new medium. His following productions undoubtedly bore the mark of this brilliant invention. The show pre-sented by the Chorégies d’Orange will appeal to the child in all music lovers, and will allow younger audiences to discover the myriad sensations given by live classical music!
